Our philosophy behind destination wedding planning and wedding photography is that each couple deserves a unique experience that reflects their love. Not at the same venue as thousands of other couples or an Instagram hot spot. There are thousands of beautiful places around Montana and Wyoming, so there's no reason not to pick somewhere special to you. Your spot, your day, your way!
Rachael and Matt came to us looking exactly for that. Originally from the east coast, they'd been living in Utah together for the last few years and many of their greatest memories together were adventuring outdoors in the West. So with plans to move to Maryland for work, they knew they had to get married out West before they left!
They had already chosen an amazing, off-the-beaten-path location for their intimate destination wedding when they came to us- a guest ranch in a secluded piece of national forest outside Cody, WY.
It would be an understatement to say we fell in love with Double Diamond X Ranch, with its mountain views. And to say Rachael and Matt looked beautiful together that day is also the understatement of the year - they were literally glowing with love.
What began as plans to elope with a few friends at the end of a trip through Yellowstone National Park turned into a micro-wedding when friends and family accepted their invitation to join!
With about 20 of their closest people surrounding them, Rachael and Matt were married on a beautiful June afternoon next to a river in a cathedral of mountains.
They continued the celebration with a reception at the Double Diamond X. In true dude ranch style, it was a cookout grilled over the campfire! There were toasts and delicious homemade pies, and everyone took in the beautiful alpine glow to end the night.
