About Us
Hey there! We're Neal & Alicia Hines, a husband and wife photography & planning team. We create and capture down-to-earth weddings and intimate elopements for adventurous couples in beautiful outdoor locations across Montana.
Our events range from backcountry elopements to large ranch weddings, and everything in between!
We founded Off the Beaten Path in 2017 to help other couples celebrate their love authentically. We combine our talents to bring photography, planning and officiating under one roof for those who desire a unique Montana wedding.
Our Story
We've been together since 2013, connected by our love for travel and the great outdoors, and tied the knot ourselves in 2020! Alicia has years of experience planning large, complex events. Neal is a professional photographer and former whitewater rafting guide. We love combining our skills to guide people thru experiences – and what greater adventure is there in life than love and marriage!
Fun Facts!

Alicia loves rock climbing, hiking and practicing yoga. She’s an avid gardener, passionate about local food, and enjoys getting creative in the kitchen.

In his free time, you’ll find Neal driving across the Great Plains to photograph America’s most severe thunderstorms.

Alicia moved from Illinois to Montana to be closer to the mountains and met Neal (a Montana native) two weeks later. We’ve been partners in life, love, and adventure ever since!
