Emma and Dan | Pryor Mountains | Engagement
This was the definition of an adventure shoot! On the first snow day in December, we packed up the car with food, water, extra layers, make up bag, sandbags, and a shovel (just in case) and headed off into the Pryor Mountains, 80 miles southeast of Billings.
The Pryors are less frequented than their neighbors (the Beartooths and Big Horn Mountains), but they hold special meaning and many memories for Emma and Dan. Both are Montana transplants, and they've spent many hours romping around the Pryor's hills and coulees together.
Knowing this, we thought it was the perfect location for their engagement photo shoot! We all thought the snow would add fun detail, and Neal was able to forecast the perfect day more than two weeks out. The snowflakes started falling on the morning of, and didn't let up the entire time. It was magical!
We drove for more than an hour in the Pryors until we got to Neal's favorite spot - a pictograph canyon with beautiful rusty chug water. We ran around together until our noses were too cold to stay out any longer!

Don't they look so cozy? We crafted this set up with our blankets and two of the couple's favorite mugs.
The adventure ended with dinner and a beer at the local watering hole in Bridger. Start to finish, it was a magical day! We can't wait for Emma and Dan's wedding in October <3
